Background

ROAMsupport is a self-service client management and support portal launched by Ingenico Group. Its primary goal is to give users more flexibility, visibility, and control over how they manage their day-to-day operations. Through the portal, users can oversee their merchants, monitor transactions, and manage devices, all from a centralized, intuitive interface.

As the lead product designer on this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end design strategy. I partnered closely with my product manager to define the business goals behind launching this new product. Together, we aligned on a vision for a simple yet powerful tool that offered a clean, easy-to-use experience. Throughout the process, I ensured the design followed Ingenico’s branding guidelines while also delivering a modern, consistent look and feel that aligned with our broader product ecosystem and met all feature and functional requirements.

Process

Strategy, ideation & design exploration

This following user flow was created to provide a high-level overview of the key paths a user can take based on what they want to manage or accomplish within the portal. The flow is color-coded to visually organize the various page types and functions, making it easier to understand how different parts of the experience connect.

It serves as both a map of the full user journey and a tool to clarify the start and end points of each major task. This flow became the foundation for my wireframes and final design, helping ensure a clear, intuitive structure throughout the ROAMsupport experience.

A significant portion of the project was dedicated to wireframing. Given the complexity and robustness of ROAMsupport, it was critical to ensure that the interface and interactions were consistent, intuitive, and easy to navigate. My goal was to establish a clear and thoughtful foundation before moving into visual design.

We went through several rounds of wireframes, refining both the layout and functionality as the product took shape. Wireframes served as an essential tool for organizing content architecture, communicating design intent to teammates and stakeholders, and collecting feedback early in the process, all without getting bogged down in visual details too soon. This approach allowed us to validate ideas quickly and build with confidence.

Visual designs

The following examples (in no particular order) highlight a range of visual designs and user experiences created throughout various stages of the project. Some represent final, released designs, while others reflect early concept explorations. I combined elements from our brand guidelines with modern design trends to create a sleek, consistent interface that feels both current and true to our visual identity.

The UI was crafted to be simple, streamlined, and predictable, with a strong emphasis on usability, brand alignment, and platform flexibility. At its core, the design aims to deliver a faster, more efficient, and purpose-driven experience for our users.

Finalization & hand-off

The work didn’t stop there. Once the visuals were approved, I collaborated closely with engineering to ensure a smooth and efficient handoff. This included delivering production-ready assets, style guides, and detailed specifications, everything the team needed to build with confidence.

For this project, I designed the interface in Sketch and used Zeplin to streamline asset delivery and auto-generate style guides, spacing specs, and developer-friendly documentation. This made it easy to share and ensured that nothing was lost in translation between design and development.

The result was a pixel-perfect launch of ROAMsupport, Ingenico’s newest self-service platform, delivered on-brand and ready to scale.
